How do I use the Yating Transcription App? Can I record and export files?

Open the app and tap the recording icon at the bottom to start real-time recording and automatic transcription. Once finished, tap "Export" in the top-right corner of the transcript screen to save your file.

What audio formats does Yating Transcription support? What if my upload fails?

The system supports .wav and .mp3 formats. If the upload fails, please convert your file into a supported format first. If the issue persists, it may be due to network problems—try switching to a different network. If needed, please reach out to our support team at contact@yating.tw.

What should I do if the transcript is incomplete or missing sections?

If parts of the transcript are missing, it is usually related to the original audio file. Please check whether the file is complete and plays normally.

Can I request an invoice with a tax ID number?

Yes. On the purchase confirmation page, select the "Tax ID" option under "Invoice Information." Enter the required details before payment, and the invoice will be sent to your designated email address.

Will I be charged if my transcription fails?

The system temporarily deducts minutes when you upload a file. If the transcription fails, the minutes will be automatically returned to your account—no additional action is required.

My transcript is stuck at 99%. Has it finished processing?

A 99% status means speech recognition is complete, and the system is performing post-processing steps such as speaker segmentation and key-point summarization. This may take some time, so the progress bar remains at 99%. Once completed, you can download the transcript from the "All Transcripts" list.
